Day 1: Bagdogra to Pheuntsholing/Thimphu, Stay: Thimphu

On arrival at Bagdogra (IXB) airport by 9 AM, meet & greet by our representative. Transfer from Bagdogra to Phuentsholing at Bhutan border. After completing Bhutan immigration formalities, start your journey to Thimphu (7,500 ft), the Bhutan capital. On the way enjoy the beauty of Bhutan Himalaya and waterfall. On arrival at Thimphu check into your respective hotel. Overnight at Thimphu.


Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing – Punakha, Stay: Punakha

After breakfast, sightseeing of Thimphu valley includes, visit Buddha Point– world’s largest sitting Buddha, Simply Bhutan Museum. Afternoon, proceed to Punakha (Approx 75km/ 3 Hours from Thimphu).

Punakha is the old capital of Bhutan and now its district of Punakha Dzongkhag. Punakha was the capital of Bhutan till 1955. En-route visit Dochu la Pass. The pass is popular among the tourists because of its 360 degree panoramic view of Himalayan range. The place is worth going in clear winter days with magnificent view of snow-capped mountains and mountain pass. Overnight in Punakha.

Day 3: Punakha Sightseeing – Thimphu, Stay: Thimphu

Morning visit Punakha Dzong, also known as Pungthang Dewa Chhenbi Phodrang, is the Administrative centre of Punakha District in Punakha, Bhutan. Constructed by Ngawang Namgyal, 1st Zhabdrung Rinpoche, in 1637–38, it is the second oldest and second largest dzong in Bhutan and one of its most majestic structures and Suspension Bridge.

After lunch if time permits hike to Chimmi lhakhang– Chimi Lhakhang, also known as Chime Lhakhang or Monastery or temple, is a Buddhist monastery in Punakha District, Bhutan. Located near Lobesa, it stands on a round hillock and was built in 1499 by the 14th Drukpa hierarch, Ngawang Choegyel, after the site was blessed by the “Divine Madman” the maverick saint Drukpa Kunley (1455–1529) who built a chorten on the site. Overnight at Thimphu.

Day 4: Thimphu – Paro, Stay: Paro

After breakfast, check-out and proceed to Paro, stop near chu zom- two river meeting together, visit iron bridge, stop near paro river and enjoy the view of Paro airport. After lunch, visit Ta Dzong, Paro Rinpung Dzong (Museum), Nya-Mey Zam. Evening spend your time in Paro Market. Overnight at Paro.


Day 5: Tiger Nest Hike, Stay: Paro

After breakfast, take an excursion to Taktsang Monastery, the most famous of Bhutanese monasteries. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery hence it is called “Tiger’s Nest”. The excursion to monastery’s view point takes about 5 hours for round trip. Overnight at Paro.


Day 6: Paro to Bagdora

After breakfast drive back to Phuentsholing. Upon reaching Phuentsholing our representatives will help you with the exit formalities and drive further to Bagdogra for your onward journey.

  1. Visitors from India will need a permit to visit Bhutan. This applies to anyone holding an Indian passport, or an Indian voter ID card. For Indian nationals aged under 18 years, a passport or a birth certificate will suffice, and they must be accompanied by legal guardians.
  2. Documents required to process the E-permit (for Indian guests). Visitors from India can use a passport or voter ID card. Children under 18 years of age can use a birth certificate or passport, and must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Passport size photograph is also required. Travel insurance is required and should be valid for the whole duration of the trip.
  3. About SDF, guests from India are levied SDF of Nu. 1,200 or equivalent amount in INR per person per night. There will be a concessionary levy of 50% on the SDF for children between the ages of 6-12 years and exemptions of SDF for children aged 5 years and below.
  4. Guests visiting Bhutan shall arrange:

(1) Accommodation;

(2) A tour guide

(3) Travel insurance, and;

(4) Transportation around the country, including airport transfers


  • Transportation: Private vehicle for transfers and local sightseeing from Bagdogra Airport, as per the travel itinerary.
  • Meals Included: Daily breakfast and dinner for the duration of the trip (5 days).

  1. Rucksack: A sturdy rucksack of at least 60L or a trolley bag for all gear.
  2. Day Pack: A smaller bag for daily trek essentials.
  3. Headwear: A sun cap for day and a woolen cap for chilly evenings.
  4. Thermal Wear: Minimum of 2 pairs of inner thermals.
  5. Warm Clothing: A warm jacket, a pair of gloves, and a fleece jacket.
  6. Trekking Pants: At least 2 pairs of durable long pants.
  7. Socks: 4 pairs, including both cotton and woolen varieties.
  8. Footwear: Well-insulated hiking shoes with good grip, plus floaters/sandals.
  9. Rain Protection: A rain jacket or poncho, and a hoodie for unexpected showers.
  10. Lighting: A reliable torch and headlamp for nighttime visibility.
  11. Medical Kit: Include glucose powder, common medicines, Dettol, bandages, and any personal medication.
  12. Sun and Skin Protection: UV sunglasses, high SPF sunscreen, lip balm, and cold creams.
  13. Power Supply: A power bank and mobile charger to stay connected.
  14. Snacks: Energy bars, dry fruits, and snacks for quick energy boosts.
  15. Essentials: A quick-dry towel, toiletry kit, insect repellent, and a waterproof laundry bag.

Don’t forget to carry some extra cash and your identification like Aadhar card or Voter ID Card.

The tour leaders are capable enough to handle any situations and proper attention will be given throughout the tour. In case you get admitted in hospital, you will not be able to join further places because of fixed itinerary for a group tour and no refund will be initiated. Hospital expenses and stay at hotel will be paid by the customer directly. However, we will make sure that you are well prepared for the tour and instructions will be given accordingly.

Though, the itinerary will be the same, there could be slight changes if the weather becomes extreme or unfavourable for the tour. Alternative options will be given

Yes, keep on munching and keep yourself hydrated. Drinking and smoking is strictly prohibited.

We just want to assure you that, all the tour leaders irrespective of their gender, are well experienced and well aware of the places, and safe to travel with. In case there is any change, you will be notified at the earliest.

You will get proper food suitable for terrain like Ladakh, Meghalaya, plain areas etc like Bread, Jam, Poori Sabzi, Eggs, lunch and dinner with dal, rice, salad, roti etc.

Mostly, there are Solar Geyser available throughout the year. In case, there is a shortage of electricity or rainy weather, the staffs will help you with Hot water whenever required.

Networks are mostly available during the starting of the tour. You may find difficulties in finding network while on trek.
